City: | Having the benefit of being in the heart of Leicestershire’s idyllic countryside and bordering Nottinghamshire in the middle of England, yet the school is only a short 15 minute car journey into the multi cultured city of Leicester and a short 1.5 hours by train into London. The school has a beautiful 16th century manor house and hunting lodge, set on a peaceful 850-acre country estate. It is surrounded by mature, well maintained gardens with its own ornamental lake. It was once the seat of the Villiers family. Its most famous son, George, born in 1592 at Brooksby, rose to be the favourite of two Stuart Kings (James I and Charles).
