CAREL’s mission is to implement language courses in French, English, German and Spanish, both on-site and distance learning for adults, students and pupils, French and foreign, professionals and individuals.
CAREL is a multicultural centre: 4 language departments, 4000 students, among which 1300 professionals and 1000 foreigners, 23 000 training hours. Around 50 nationalities are represented at CAREL. The centre proposes a complete multimedia equipment: 23 fully equipped training rooms, 4 language labs, 2 multimedia labs, 1 multimedia resource centre, 1 TV studio, 1 auditorium, 2 mobile digital labs and smartboard.

City of Art and History, Royan is a town in south-western France, located in the department of Charente-Maritime. Main town of the Côte de Beauté with 18,500 inhabitants, this seaside resort, which looks out onto the Gironde estuary and the Atlantic Ocean, has been a famous resort since the 19th century, with its sandy beaches and sunshine. The city has many other advantages, such as the quality and variety of its architecture with its Belle Epoque villas and urbanism of the 1950s, which is unique in Europe.
Royan is a resort that is on the move, with a wide range of sporting and cultural activities for all ages.[/tab]
