UNI is directly in the heart of Iowa. Between the two cities, there are plenty of activities to take part in, from exploring the state parks to shopping downtown. There is a lively nightlife in Cedar Falls and several venues for live music. UNI’s Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center has a world-class theatre department that hosts dozens of plays each year. The Cedar Falls/Waterloo area has over 80 miles of hiking/biking trails and dozens of parks.

Presentation:
CIEP students participate in Listening/Speaking, Reading and Writing/Grammar classes at 7 different levels. Sessions last 8 weeks and, with good progress, students advance one level per session. CIEP sessions begin in August, October, January, March and June. Each session provides 20 classroom hours per week of English language study and cultural orientation. Elective courses are also available. Experienced instructors teach small classes. Classroom teaching combines instructor presentations, group work and individual projects. CIEP gives students a Certificate of Completion when they finish the program. Applicants must be 17+ yrs old.
