Swan Training Institute is an English Language School based in Dublin, Ireland. It was founded in 1988 as a summer school for European students who wished to study English in Ireland. From a small beginning, our school has grown to the point where we now offer a wide variety of programmes throughout the year for both groups and individuals.
We are an English school that is fully recognised by the Irish Department of Education and we are also members of the Recognised English Language Schools Association (RELSA) and the language schools marketing group, Marketing English in Ireland (MEI).
Ireland is small, beautiful and has a low crime-rate. There is another aspect of Ireland which is congenial to the foreign student of English -- Irish people are warm, gregarious and love to talk. In other words, the possibilities for speaking and listening to English being spoken are outstanding. In a phrase, Ireland provides the ideal conditions for learning English as a foreign language.
Dublin is over 1000 years old and was founded by the Vikings, who named it Dyff Lin. Since the Vikings, the Normans and the English have also used Dublin as their centre of power. Dublin nowadays is a thriving and atmospheric city and has a population of one million people, more than half under the age of twenty-five. It's an old city with a very young and creative feel.
