Each month we discover a new language programme. This month we travel together to San Gwann/Kappara in Malta. We discover EEC / ITIS. We ask some questions to its manager.
Could you please briefly introduce us to EEC / ITIS?
Our organisation has two branches. EEC is our language school and ITIS is our International Tourism Institute. We have now been established for 15 years and have grown, not in size, but in higher standards and quality as we greatly believe in personal attention and care to the student's satisfaction. Our organisation is accredited and recognised by the Ministry of Education, Euro University and IMI. We have won the International Honorary Awards Golden Millennium Europa Prize for outstanding Educational Services
Which courses do you propose?
This all depends on the student’s requirements and needs. We have a selection of different courses that include an EFL general English course, English for

specific purposes, examination preparation courses and also English plus practice placement course in different kind of professions.
How long is the shortest stay? How long is the average stay?
Minimum course period is one week. Average stay is 4 weeks.

host family accommodation or Homestay. It’s the most economical and beneficial accommodation for any student. It's the best way to practice English and learn new cultures. Students that stay with a host family learn English faster. Maltese Host Families are very hospitable and friendly. They are always ready to help students out in any situation. Apart from being excellent cooks, they are clean and proud of their homes. Often the bonds that are made between International Students and their Homestay families endure many years, and are maintained through letters and email. Other types of accommodation are of course available including stays in the residence, apartments and hotels.
What is the minimum age? What is the average age?
Minimum age is 8 years old. Average age in Summer is 18 year old and in Winter is 25 years old
